Lead Aeronautical Information Specialist

Reference – OPM Group Coverage Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management Positions in conjunction with Individual Occupational Requirements for 1361: Navigational Information Series. To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the FV-I or GS/FG-13 level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Such Experience will include: experience as a technical specialist for one or more of the following program areas: development, maintenance, or revision of Terminal/En-route Instrument Flight Procedures (lFPs); Ensuring lFPs are coordinated and integrated into the NAS and provide for safe operation of aircraft; collecting, evaluating and verifying aeronautical data; Experience providing subject matter guidance on automation applications as used by Aeronautical information Services (AIS); Experience in the development of lFPs through the Terminal Area Route Generations and Traffic Simulations (TARGETS) program; Experience using AIS Production Workflow System (APWS). Reports to the OSG Flight Procedures Team Manager. The incumbent is expected to perform work independently resolving potentially controversial or sensitive issues. Results of work performed are considered technically authoritative and conclusions and recommendations are accepted.
