Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience contractor management control systems and procedures related to national nuclear, radiological and/or industrial safety, and environmental compliance program requirements, policies and practices, and contractual obligations. Examples of Qualified Experience: Develops strategies to perform detailed safety analysis. Assures that activities are performed within approved safe operatingenvelopes and in compliance with applicable orders, laws, and regulations. Makes contractor management aware of issues and concerns andnegotiates regulatory, technical and/or programmatic issues andrequirements with senior contractors. This position is located in the NNSA, Nevada Field Office (NA-NV) within the office of the Assistant Manager for Operations & Safety (AMOS). The prime focus of the AMOS organization is to oversee all operations and safety management programs at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) and its outlying locations. The incumbent serves as a Facility Representative, functioning as an onsite technical representative of the Field Office Manager on all aspects of day-to-day operations.
