Minimum: Professional knowledge of the goals, principles, objectives, practices, and theories of early childhood education acquired through formal education or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in child development or early childhood educational specialties. Knowledge of child development norms, behaviors, growth, and progress necessary to implement meaningful activities. Assigned duties and responsibilities which promote a child’s physical, social, emotional, creative, and intellectual. growth and development. Ability to satisfactorily complete background investigation – National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI), upon hiring and renew every 5 years. Ability to satisfactorily complete a health assessment, upon hiring and renewed every 2 years. Valid Driver’s license. Must be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds. Preferred (in addition to the minimum): Combination of education and experience — courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.
