You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one of the following: Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Overseeing a capital facilities project planning program, major leased facilities project development and execution/ new construction development, design, and execution program for all new construction. Leads a team of engineers, architects, and project/construction managers to ensure the investments for major facilities projects is properly planned, developed, and executed to meet operational requirements, on schedule and within budget. Makes decisions and recommendations with respect to the Section’s operations involving such matters as priorities, goals, standards, fiscal controls, operating procedures, resource allocation; and planning; taking appropriate corrective action for significant administrative and technical problems; assuring work progress and completion in compliance with the applicable federal policies. Serves as the lead engineer and planner for capital, construction, and major projects. Manages subordinates within a section responsible for managing the planning, facilities construction, acquisition, major maintenance, recapitalization, improvement, and configuration management programs for all real property facilities.
