Your resume must demonstrate at least At the DA-02 Level: Three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05-08) or pay band (DA-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Security Specialist. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Utilizing analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review, evaluate, and apply several alternatives according to the security requirements for highly specific situations; (2) Analyzing data related to facility planning and assessments, making sound recommendations to management; and (3) Reading and understanding documentation related to facility planning, contracts, and requirements. At the DA-03 Level: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05-08) or pay band (DA-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Security Specialist. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Utilizing analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review, evaluate, and apply several alternatives according to the security requirements for highly specific situations, availability of materials, relationships with other protective programs, and cost/benefit considerations; (2) Performing work related to INFOSEC, PERSEC, PHYSEC as it relates to both the command security program protecting classified information and force protection/mission assurance applications; (3) Independently analyzing data related to facility planning and assessments, making sound recommendations to management, and coordinating internally and externally for implementation of management direction; and (4) Reading and understanding documentation related to facility planning, contracts, and requirements.
