You must meet the “Specialized Experience” to qualify for the position, as described below. For GS-14 level: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Qualifying specialized experience for this GS-14 position includes: 1) The ability to develop and apply investigative methodologies and approaches appropriate to the investigation of complex financial practices applied by employee benefit plan fiduciaries and service providers. 2) Knowledge regarding the criminal prosecution process and procedures; and 3) The ability to work with other Federal and State agency enforcement representatives to improve the effectiveness of the investigation of white collar crimes.
This position will serve as the Employee Benefits Investigator (Senior Advisor, Criminal Investigator) for the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA).
