SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: GS-09: A qualified candidate’s online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-7 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: 1. Assisting the functions of the facilities maintenance trades to include the structural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines as they apply to planning and initiating required maintenance, repairs, and improvements to facility systems. 2. Gathering information concerning building operations and contracting procedures to assist in writing reports with conclusions and recommendations. 3. Assisting with the contract administration methods to identify problem areas/trends to ensure contract conditions are met. OR EDUCATION: Master’s or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D.; your education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. For this position, this is defined as a degree in Operations Management, Facilities Management, Building Construction, Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a similarly related major. TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: You may qualify on a combination of education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the specialized experience requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the educational requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education. TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED. Using contract administration methods and techniques to interpret and monitor established contracts to ensure contract terms and conditions are met. OR EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M.; your education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. For this position, this is defined as a degree in Operations Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a similarly related major. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
