Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Responding to calls/alarms requiring contact with potential offenders and pursuing and/or apprehending offenders (civilian and military); 2) Supervising security force personnel who perform commercial and mobile vehicle inspections and/or gate/sentry duties controlling access to the installation by verifying individuals have the appropriate credentials for entry; 3) Performing all duties of a police officer by patrolling assigned areas of responsibility, responding to calls for service, engaging in traffic control and serving as a deterrent to crime by being present in the area and through observation, inspection and investigation. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy. “Agreement to Continue in Service – CSA, Agency requires 36 months of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC in accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR410.309. Failure to voluntary complete length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse to the agency for fees, such as tuition and related fees, travel, and other special expenses (excluding salary) paid in connection with the training.”
