FLIGHT ENGINEER (Title 32)

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:Experience which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of aircraft weight and balance computations; aircraft performance data; aircraft records maintenance; and aircraft systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 24 months of specialized experience in the following: Experience demonstrating the ability to compute and apply aircraft weight and balance and aircraft performance data. Experience demonstrating the ability to perform inspections, operate and monitor aircraft engines and systems control. Experience which has provided the candidate with the skill to recognize all abnormal and/or emergency conditions and report them to the pilot. Experience operating aerospace ground equipment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of electrical, communication, navigation, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems applying to aircraft and related systems. Knowledge of flight theory. Knowledge of minor in-flight maintenance. Knowledge of personal equipment and oxygen use. Knowledge of aircraft emergency procedures. Knowledge using and interpreting diagrams, schematics, aircraft performance charts, loading charts, technical publications and flight manuals. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: All applications will be considered regardless of Branch/AOC/FA/AFSC. Incumbent will be required to be assigned to compatible military position within 1 year of selection. The selected individual may be required to attend formal technician school training. Individual selected must undergo a preemployment physical examination prior to appointment. This position requires a security clearance (secret) which the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver’s license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
THIS IS A TITLE 32 DUAL STATUS POSITION DUTY LOCATION: 103d Operations Group (OG), East Granby, CT AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel of the Connecticut Air National Guard. Area 2: All currently employed full-time temporary technician personnel and all current traditional members of the Connecticut Air National Guard.
