Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Logistics such as the development of collective tasks, Training Support Packages (TSP), and Combined Arms Training Strategies (CATS). Understands overall collective training product content/structure, the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) process, and a practical knowledge of training methods and techniques. Knowledge of publications such as Tables of Organization and Equipment, Army Doctrine Publications (ADPs), Army Doctrine Reference Publications (ADRPs), Field Manuals, Technical Manuals and/or Army Regulations in developing collective/unit training products. Expertise in conducting research, develop methods and approaches to develop and review/revise complete training products. Skill in identifying actual or potential problem areas such as trends, imbalances, deficiencies, and implement necessary changes to resolve problem. Proficiency in coordinating with subject matter experts to ensure quality finished project. Proficiency in reviewing existing training materials, interprets, and advises of doctrinal changes concerning Sustainment unit training materials and actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education / Training Program Administration Leadership Oral Communication Training and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????12).
About the Position: Serves as supervisor of the Functional Unit Training Products Branch and as a Senior Training Specialist responsible for developing unit training materials collective training programs (i.e., collective tasks, Combined Arms Training Strategies (CATS)), Training Support Packages (TSPs),Training Circulars (TCs), drills, exercises, unit vignettes, multimedia training, Standard METL, training resource templates).
