Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience. Planning, coordinating, developing, refining, and conducting failure analysis investigations. Providing engineering guidance, mentorship, and technical direction to other senior-level engineers and journeymen-level engineers on advanced techniques in electron microscopy, instrumentation, aircraft crash investigations, and problem solving related to materials engineering. Preparing, reviewing, and presenting failure analysis reports and investigations to management and senior leadership. Preparing written instructions, specifications, and reports dealing with aircraft component failure analysis issues for subordinate engineers, local management, and national Materials Competency personnel.
