Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Supervisory Toxicologist: Degree: Bachelor’s degree (or higher degree) in toxicology; or an appropriate discipline of the biological, medical, or veterinary sciences that included at least 30 semester hours in chemistry, biochemistry, or physiology, and 12 semester hours in toxicology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing oversight of drug deterrence and detection programs such as forensic drug testing laboratories; advising management on the planning and management of anti-drug initiatives to include administrative and budgetary activities; and managing the staff workload and progress of a team. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14). About the Position: This position is located in the Office of Drug Demand Reduction (ODDR), Office of Force Resiliency (OFR), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness (USD (P&R)). Serves as the Executive Director responsible for program and policy oversite on the DoD Military Personnel Drug Abuse Program (MPDATP) and the DoD Civilian Employee Drug-Free Workplace Program (DFWP).
