ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST

To qualify for the ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST, GS-0301-11, your resume must demonstrate at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with civilian personnel issues and the processing of personnel actions including: classification, recruitment, hiring, benefits, timekeeping, promotions, awards, reassignments, details, performance management. Experience using software applications suitable for data collection and presentations such as, but not limited to: Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS); HR Link; MyBiz, TWMS, Transaction Online Processing System; Navy System Integrated Processes System (NSIPS), Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) and word processing systems/ software. Experience using standardized rules, practices, procedures and terminology related to Drug Free Workplace Program (DFWP) sufficient to run, schedule and maintain UWDC’s DFWP. Experience using qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative and technical programs, along with knowledge of the mission, organization, and work processes. Experience investigating payroll problems including overpayments, indebtedness, erroneous pay and leave issues and seeking resolution which may include liaising with other federal agencies to determine outcome. Experience identifying and preparing unfunded manpower issues for budget and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submissions. Experience with DOD/DON/OPM regulations/guidance to provide advice and policy interpretations on complex, controversial or precedent human capital management issues. Experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships with employees and senior management officials to gain their cooperation on complex or controversial issues. Experience using Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Project, Access, and Power Point) to develop clear, concise and effective reports and presentations.
