Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing Enlisted Strength for selected Units for Major Army Commands (ACOMS), Unified Combatant Commands (UCC), DOD/Joint Agencies, and Field Activities, 2) Serving as a staff-level Human Resources (HR) Specialist (Military) with responsibility for requisitioning for managed commands, providing technical guidance regarding a wide variety of military HR programs that include strength management; unit readiness, personnel readiness; replacement operations; and various other HR functions for all active units, 3) Advising Senior Analyst/Branch Chief (s) and senior leaders on all external inquiries pertaining to personnel and unit readiness for managed units. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
About the Position: Position serves as a Senior Human Resources (HR) Specialist (Military) and Senior Analyst to the Team Chief for the Branch within the Readiness Division, Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate, with responsibility for providing technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of military HR programs in Human Resources Command (HRC), Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate (EPMD), at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
