Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however, return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition. ***NOTE: If you ARE NOT a current Army employee and want to be considered for this position, you must apply to Announcement Number SDSB244863904259*** Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction which includes the following: Update training materials for Patriot Air Defense systems,; Prepare training schedules for input into training database; Maintain training data to include course purpose, scope and prerequisites for Patriot Air Defense systems; Apply working knowledge of Patriot Air Defense systems to recommend modifications to course and/or course content based on changes in subject matter or equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in adult education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. (NOTE: You MUST attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. For qualifications determinations your resume must contain hours worked per week and the dates of employment (i.e., HRS per week and month/year to month/year or month/year to present). About the Position: This position will serve as a Training Instructor (Patriot) with the 30th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, Fires Center of Excellence located at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The incumbent of this position will conduct training on subjects in one or more courses covering the components of the Patriot Air Defense system, command and control, and associated electronics, to include communications and test equipment.
