To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-07: Specialized Experience: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level in the federal service: 1) Providing technical support to facilitate Tribal self-governance and self-determination services. 2) Operating automated office management systems to support functional areas of responsibility. OR 1 full year of graduate level education OR superior academic achievement GS-09: Specialized Experience: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS7 grade level in the federal service: 1) Providing technical support to facilitate Tribal self-governance and self-determination services. 2) Operating automated office management systems to support functional areas of responsibility. 3) Maintaining directory and facilitating completion of data calls for Tribal Governmental functions. OR Master’s or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date. Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act of 1934 (title 25, USC Section 472). Additional selections may be made from this announcement if identical vacancies occur in the same location within 90 days from the closing date.
This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Superintendent, Western Nevada Agency in Carson City, Nevada. This position implements branch functions, and enrollment activities as outlined in the major duties for Tribal Operation Branch.
