SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Conducts and exercises oversight for nationwide river hydraulic software for the organization; 2) assembles cross-agency federal coalitions to collaboratively solve challenging Nation-wide water resources problems in river hydraulics, sediment transport, and statistical analysis of fluvial flood hazards; and 3) plans the program from the viewpoint of meeting the immediate and strategic needs for hydraulic analysis methods. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-14 or above. NO SUBSTITUTION FOR EXPERIENCE: Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, both the individual occupational (basic) requirement AND the specialized experience requirement must be met; no substitution of education for specialized experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Hydraulic Engineering Managing Human Resources Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
About the Position: This position is with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Institute for Water Resources (IWR). This position will be filled on a permanent basis. This is not a remote position.
