SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: NOTE: A current Department of Defense Sexual Assault Advocate certification program preferred. This position requires an approved secret clearance within one year of employment. This position must pass a Position Significant of Trust background certification within six months of employment. GROUP B – All current Federal Employees (from any agency), all federal re-employable eligible, and/or current Army M-Day and Air DSG within VANG. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience as a Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Coordinator for the military, civilians, and dependents. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 18 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as: Experience creating and implementing a communication strategy to expand awareness and knowledge of reporting options for sexual assault. Experience maintaining up-to-date subject information and references to the various assistance organizations and publishes additional resources to personnel. Experience collaborating with State SAPR PM, subsidiary BDE SARCs to include Alt SARCs, VAs and other stakeholders to create and execute plans, outreach efforts, messaging, and activities for SAPR related events to include, but not limited to, Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. Experience attending meetings, forums, briefs, etc. requested by BDE CDR and equips BDE CDR with most current program information using the health of the force data slides and other vetted resources. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates’ experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant’s record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
