SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A qualified candidate’s resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience in 1) performing business management work to conduct work planning and scheduling activities, and 2) developing solutions for work planning and scheduling issues and problems in order to deliver resource and work planning products efficiently. “Experience” refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Physical Demands: Work for the most part is sedentary with no special physical demands. It may involve some walking, standing, bending, or carrying of light items. Work Environment: The employee normally works in an office that involves everyday risks or discomforts which require the normal safety precautions. The area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Visits to production areas are infrequent and relatively free of hazards to the employee. Time-in-Grade: Current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement to receive consideration. This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Resource & Work Planning (TEBW), Internal Operations (TEB), Engineering & Technical Service (TE), Transmission Services (T). A successful candidate will be responsible for providing centralized, coordinated, system-wide work planning, scheduling & evaluation services to ensure maintenance, sustain, & expand programs are conducted in a manner that is cost effective & efficient.
