Applicants must possess a J.D. or LL.B. degree and be an active member of the bar in good standing (any jurisdiction) GS:14 Have FOUR or more years of professional legal experience equivalent at the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector in all of the following: bankruptcy litigation, creditor rights litigation, and real estate or business law. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled. This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of General Counsel in Seattle, WA. The incumbent serves as the lead attorney in a SBA District office and is the principal legal representative for OCG in that office with the functional title of District Counsel. The incumbent provides legal advice on all aspects of the programs delivered an on the administrative operations of the office.
