Minimum Qualification Requirements You may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-12, if you possess the specialize experience. Specialized Experience for the GS-12 One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-11 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments: 1. Experience providing facility management services for an organization (e.g., space management, furniture management or tenant services). 2. Experience managing facility construction projects involving multiple trades (e.g., electrical, mechanical, carpentry or plumbing). 3. Experience in providing recommendations for improving effectiveness and efficiency of operations and/or ensuring compliance. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). Knowledge of structure, contents, building codes, internal and external interfaces, local environmental regulatory requirements, update procedures, and uses of automated systems and databases to maintain facilities data, communicate, extract reports, etc. 2. Ability to analyze and evaluate current situations to provide recommendations for improving effectiveness and efficiency of operations and/or ensuring compliance. 3. Ability to display ownership, responsiveness, and accountability of all facilities aspects for buildings and facilities assigned to the incumbent. 4. Knowledge of policies, procedures, budget and billing processes as they pertain to facility services. 5. Knowledge of aspects of facilities and project management as well as the application of general administrative and management skills to manage a facility.
The position is telework eligible consistent with the Agency’s telework and remote work program policy. This position is located in Office of Finance and Operations, Facilities and Logistics Services Division. Incumbent is responsible for providing a variety of technical, logistical and support services that include project management and facility management.
