To qualify for this position at the GS-11 grade level, you must meet one of the following: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-9) in the Federal Service that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the Administrative Officer position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position. Specialized experience includes experience coordinating all administrative functions of an office to include overseeing a range of human resources functions; acting as a liaison concerning personnel related matters; advising management on personnel allocations; managing budget formulation and execution; performing timekeeping functions; creating reports; coordinating and scheduling meetings; and managing and balancing financial aspects of general fund control points and purchase procedures. ~OR~ EDUCATION: Successful completion three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education or doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) related to this position Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. This position is located at the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System in Honolulu, HI. The incumbent serves as the Administrative Officer for Physical, Medicine, and Rehabilitation Service (PMRS) and is responsible for performing all administrative functions for PMRS.
