Specialized Experience for the GS-14 Level: To qualify for the GS-14 grade level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through federal service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as: Evaluating administrative practices in State and County Offices and develops recommendations for improvements, Developing State Office criteria for measuring the quality of administrative/program management in County Offices, Developing and/or maintaining budgetary control of funds. Time in grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the GS-13 grade level. This position is in the Farm Service Agency, Utah State Office, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. A relocation incentive up to 25% may be authorized The Deputy State Executive Director (DSED) serves as a full assistant to the respective State Executive Director (SED), is in a direct supervisory line over all Federal FSA positions in the State, serves as the SEDs alter ego in their absence, participates fully with the SED in managing the State programs, and in furthering the Agencys mission.
