This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Perform and compose various types of correspondence such letters, reports, graphs and policies to ensure compliance with all regulations and policies; 2) Perform general office administrative and clerical procedures to provide assistance and guidance to staff; 3) Receive internal, external and screening phones calls to determine the nature of the call and direct to the appropriate division/ department with in the command; 4) Utilize various computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power point to create complex formats; 5) Understand travel arrangements, to include transportation, lodging and arranging schedules; 6) Receive replies to inquiries (e.g., general, non-technical) to guarantee a timely response.
