In order to qualify for the GS-13, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: Conducts qualitative and quantitative analyses of the quality and performance of Facilitated Marketplace programs to identify areas of disparities and assess health equity impacts; Translates the results of analysis into clear, actionable communications that equips decision makers to make informed, data-driven decisions to increase the capacity for advanced health equity data and analytics; Revises or develops new methods as necessary to ensure optimum research results with respect to data analysis and research questions; AND Prepares written documents (e.g., study reports, presentations, and correspondence) for senior leadership. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Minority Health. As a Social Scientist Research Analyst, GS-0101-13, you will develop and use claims data, survey, market research, and statistical methodologies and techniques to analyze and conduct studies of assigned programs.
