Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience in responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the pay band level of the position. Experience that required the applicant to acquire and apply knowledge of the rules, regulations, procedures, and program requirements of one or more areas of a personnel system is required. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Typing skills are required. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Knowledge of office automation software (MS Windows; MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Publisher, and Excel) is desired. Knowledge of employee/labor relations and collective bargaining agreement is preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain a T3/Secret Security Clearance. About the position: This regular full-time position will be assigned to the NAF Human Resources Office at Edwards AFB, CA and guarantees 35-40 hours per week. Human Resources Assistants perform duties in an accurate and timely manner, provide excellent customer service, and work independently and as part of a team. This is a Regular Full Time (RFT) position with benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, 401(k), and annual/sick leave.
