To qualify for this position at the FV-J level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I (FG/GS-13) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized Experience includes: Experience in the operational maintenance, installation of electronic equipment in one or more of the following functional areas: Navigation and Landing Systems, Communications, Terminal and EnRoute Radar, Terminal Automation, EnRoute Automation, NAS Information Services, Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCCs) and General National Airspace System (GNAS) Environmental, and Customs and Border Patrol systems; experience delivering technical training, research, and goal setting for large complex programs. AND Quality Ranking Factor: A well-qualified candidate will have expertise and experience in operating, maintaining, and teaching highly complex Customs and Border Protection (CBP) surveillance and communications systems. As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the managers individual performance, and available funding. The Supervisory Airway Transportation System Specialist serves as a Branch Manager within the Corporate Training Solutions Division of the FAA Academy.
