Qualifications: GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Screening and/or inspecting personal and commercial vehicles requesting installation access; 2) Controlling personnel access by verifying identification/credentials; 3) Patrolling buildings or perimeters for suspicious activity; and 4) Maintaining desk logs, desk journals, and pass-down logbooks to document security events. GS-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least 6 months of general and 6 months of specialized experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This work requires, on a regular and recurring basis, long periods of standing, walking, driving, bending, stooping, reaching and similar activities. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed for the most part is outdoors in the heat, cold, rain, and wind during the hours of daylight and darkness; with work in or under extremely dangerous conditions. The work environment regularly involves high risked with exposure to potentially dangerous situations or unusual environment stress which requires a range of safety and other precautions. The incumbent may also work in areas where certain potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present. These agents may include, but are not limited to fumes, noise, and heat.
