Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience serving as a subject matter expert providing advice and guidance on administering and executing staffing/recruitment and placement programs and activities for Title 5 appointments, including job analysis, merit promotion procedures and requirements, qualifications determination, adjudicating veteran’s preference, pay administration, special hiring authorities, and alternative candidate sourcing methods. This position is located in the Human Resources Branch, Executive Resources of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas for the management and direction of one of the Human Resources Executive Resources programs, involving the coordination, planning, implementation and monitoring/evaluation.
