CONDITONS OF EMPLOYMENT (CONTINUED) Must demonstrate sound security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station to perform temporary duty assignments traveling in military and/or commercial aircraft. Examples of creditable experience include: I have the depth and quality level of experience experience to successfully perform the duties of a Logistics Management Specialist which includes skill in interpreting and applying policy and process guidelines governing planning and management of logistics support management requirements; analyze operational requirements, and to develop, perform, and direct logistics management actions required to support cyber operations at headquarters and at locations worldwide; rapidly absorb and analyze information, determine essential elements of information, communicate, and operate effectively in a high operations tempo environment, such as a tactical operations center, joint operations center, or joint logistics operations center; and ability to analyze logistics management functions and programs, and to identify, develop, and implement improved logistics processes. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of basic theories and principles of systems design, specifications development techniques, and an understanding of acquisition and maintenance requirements as well as organizational functions involved in logistical support. 2. Knowledge of theories and principals of support planning, development, and execution sufficient to coordinate and integrate functions into a total, well-structured, and viable program. 3. Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, acquisition, and production. 4. Knowledge of contractual processes, procedures, and technical requirements. 5. Ability to plan, analyze, and coordinate a system or portion of a major system acquisition and transfer into operational use; to include the identification and correlation of specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and to develop and analyze data to determine logistics objectives and goals, identify support requirements (including funding, contract development, and other technical support requirements), and establish relationships between the participants involved in deploying the plan. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
