Senior Advisor to the Administrator (ATTORNEY ADVISOR)

Required: To qualify for this position, applicants must possess ALL of the requirements below: Possess a J.D. Degree; be duly licensed and authorized to practice as an attorney under the laws of any State, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia. Be an active bar member in good standing. At least four (4) years post J.D. legal experience. Desired Qualifications: All candidates are reviewed for the following competencies: Interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work both independently and as a team member in a demanding environment Ability to exercise sound judgment in challenging situations Ability to effectively manage multiple work assignments and competing priorities concurrently Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships inside and outside the DEA.
The DEA seeks Federal employees in a permanent attorney position to serve a one-year reimbursable detail. If the parties are agreeable, the detail may be extended. This position is located within the Office of the Administrator and serves as a close, confidential advisor to and representative of the Administrator.
