SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR ENGINEER

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying the advanced theories, concepts, principles and practices of nuclear engineering associated with Nuclear and Non-Nuclear ship repair, conversion, maintenance and various aspects of nuclear propulsion plant. Experience directing work to be accomplished by setting priorities, preparing schedules for the completion of projects, executing complex projects, resolving highly complex technical issues, and integrating the work of several support organizations to meet schedule dates. Experience managing and providing technical advice, guidance and direction to lower grade engineers, and other personnel. Experience implementing protocols for test and evaluation of nuclear engineering systems. Experience identifying the collective bargaining agreement affecting assigned area of responsibility and workforce Experience utilizing expert knowledge of Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facilities, NAVSEA and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program organizations. You will serve as a Supervisory Nuclear Engineer (Shift Test Supervisor) located in the Chief Test Engineering Branch (Code 2340.7) in the Nuclear Engineering Division (Code 2340) of the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department (Code 2300) at NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
