Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Irrigation System & Water Pump Repairer ~ without more than normal supervision. I have experience performing the common tasks associated with journeyman duties of a Irrigation System & Water Pump Repairer under general supervision. I have experience repairing and maintaining automated underground irrigation systems to include various types of pumps; operating a variety of gas & diesel powered heavy equipment; performing general carpentry projects and repairs; and using and caring for hand and powered tools. – Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Exerts very heavy physical effort in doing such tasks as frequently lifting and moving objects weighing over 100 pounds unassisted, obtains assistance or uses appropriate equipment or safety devices when lifting and moving heavy objects greater than 45 pounds. Physical dexterity is needed to handle tools and work around machinery or equipment. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is generally performed outdoors in all extremes of weather, in and over water, in wildland vegetation, in flood control and building structures. Hazards include heat, cold, dust, insect bites and stings, injurious vegetation, electric shock, drowning, work around machinery and heavy equipment, noise, vibration, falls from ladders and high work surfaces, and toxic chemicals. Work requires moderately heavy lifting, continuous standing, walking, or stooping in all kinds of local weather, including under wet and muddy conditions on steep or uneven terrain. Work requires special care to avoid injuries. Subject to emergency work performed outside of normal duty hours.

About the Position: This position is located at Lower Granite Natural Resources Office, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and situated in Clarkston, Washington.
