For GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with and knowledge of investigative and inspection techniques, methodologies, and analytical abilities to identify components of complex inspection issues and inquiries/investigations and determining validity of perceived problem areas. Experience with and comprehensive knowledge of, and expert ability to assess, regulatory and legal requirements governing a complex inspection issue, inquiry/investigation or assistance issue. Experience in and ability to communicate both orally and in writing for conducting inspections, inquiries, investigations, meetings/ briefings with senior management officials, preparing correspondence for COMNAVSURFLANT approval, and writing inspection and investigative reports. Experience with and knowledge of investigative techniques to plan and conduct investigations inspections independently. Experience with and knowledge of investigative techniques to evaluate the accuracy, thoroughness, objectivity, and completeness of an investigation or inspection. Experience with and knowledge of the Navy Correspondence Manual and skill in written communications to prepare correspondence in accordance with Navy regulations related to Hotline cases, such as tasking letters, complainant letters, interim and final responses to higher authority, correspondence with other agencies, issue papers, and inspection reports.
