Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. FOR THE GS-14 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-13 grade level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates: Strong writing ability and verbal skills, sufficient to write and speak convincingly to audiences including outside agencies and private sector representatives with divergent and conflicting reviews on issues involved. Utilizing federal regulations, and executing agency and campus policy, governing a wide range of administrative services functions to advise managers at the site in an appropriate fashion and assist in the delivery of support services. Exercising independent judgement and initiative in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems necessary for decision making, planning, and executing administrative support programs. Utilizing planning skills necessary to facilitate response to facility specific emergencies and/or occupant emergency plan programs. Tracking and monitoring capacity with analytical data to form reports to brief senior leaders on program process. Note: There is no education substitution for this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This position is in the Acquisition and Asset Management Division (AAMD) and serves as the Branch Chief for the Facility and Conference Services Branch (FSCB). The incumbent plans, organizes, directs, and reviews a wide range of administrative support services functions for Marketing and Regulatory Programs (MRP) employees located in Riverdale, MD; Raleigh, NC; Ft. Collins, CO; Minneapolis, MN; and Washington, DC.
