You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Supervising or leading a team or project performing archival functions, such as; accessioning, processing, reference and arrangement and description, and/or holdings maintenance on archival materials; AND Utilizing archival principles to interpret laws, regulations, and/or policies, to provide guidance to management and to develop or update work processes; AND Demonstrating expertise in automation innovations, which may include the ability perform archival or record management functions on records in electronic format. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F): For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Electronic Records Division, Accessioning Branch. As the Accessioning Branch Chief, you will oversee a team of accessioning archivists responsible for transferring permanent electronic records to the National Archives. You will support complex assignments involving advisory services to Federal agencies including development and application of records schedules, file format guidance, and metadata requirements.
