NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level defined as analyzing and advising on administrative procedures and/or policies; and recommending ways to improve work operations in a support setting. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of administrative concepts and practices. Ability to interpret administrative polices and regulations. Skill in written communication. Knowledge of Regional programs, policies, and/or priorities. Skill in oral Communication. Ability to work effectively under the pressure of tight time frames and rigid deadlines. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. This position is in Region 2, Office of the Regional Administrator. About Region 2.
