SUPERVISORY SPORTS SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying local directives governing recreational activities and enforcing safety requirements Managing financial and physical resources of a sports program to include purchasing, accounting, and non-appropriated fund procurement Adapting physical fitness standards to plan and enhance sports programs while supporting the wellness of a community; and Managing, organizing, directing, providing technical leadership and guidance, assigning and prioritizing work Note: Experience should demonstrate planning, supervising, administering, or carrying out a sports program that includes a variety of individual and team sports; guiding participants in developing the skills needed for participation in sports activities; and teaching the techniques of various sports. Examples of qualifying experience include: managing or administering a sports program in a community, industrial activity, or secondary school or college; planning, teaching, or evaluating a physical education curriculum for secondary or higher academic levels; managing, umpiring, or officiating at amateur or professional athletic events, competitions, or games. You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SPORTS SPECIALIST in the Fleet and Family Readiness, Fleet Readiness Division of NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY ANDERSEN GUAM.
