Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions. Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience in the following: Serving as a senior-level leader in the field of emerging technology, research and development, and/or innovation. Leading, managing, supervising, and directing staff with responsibility for staff’s personal development, skills assessments, training guidance, and performance Working with IT Executives and leaders, developing and presenting opinion papers, analysis, roadmaps, and presentations communicating complex business and technical scenarios and problems to C-suite and Senior Management.
This branch chief position is located within the Innovation and Research Branch, Emerging Technology (ET) Division, Technology Solutions Office headed by the office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), under the Department of Technology Services (DTS).
