GS-09: In addition to the Basic Education Requirement, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: (1) Assisting with researching of current and historic issues; (2) Supporting the planning, researching, preparing original studies, monographs, briefings, booklets, articles, chronologies, and other products that furnish detailed historical background and perspective; (3) Defining past events; (4) Preparing interview questions, and processing interviews; and (5) Assisting with the editing or transcribing historical documents. GS-11: In addition to the Basic Education Requirement, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: (1) Researching of current and historic issues; (2) Planning, researching, preparing original studies, monographs, briefings, booklets, articles, chronologies, and other products that furnish detailed historical background and perspective; (3) Investigating and defining past events and provide analysis of these events to prepare leadership and effectively deal with problems; (4) Participating in interviews, preparing interview questions, and processing interviews; (5) Editing or transcribing historical documents; and (6) Providing interpretive and intellectual support for public outreach functions to include multimedia presentations, online features, education programs, and presentations.
