You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé. Specialized experience for the GS-14 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, which is directly related to the position, and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following: – Designing and/or performing projects/studies that conform with professional (or regulatory or quality) standards/requirements; AND – Applying IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices to provide guidance, technical advice and recommendations to management on information technology or security policies and procedures; AND – Experience as a team lead or project manager; AND – Experience working as a subject matter expert for end user products and services (such as support and consultation). AND For this position, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. – Attention to detail, such as reviewing legislation or regulatory or procedural changes for effect on existing systems (e.g. end user systems). – Customer Service, such as providing performance evaluation and/or technical assistance to end users. – Oral Communication, such as making recommendation on projects/programs that are to be discontinued, altered significantly, or added. – Problem Solving, such as assisting with management in short and long-range operational and planning functions. In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.

As a Supervisory IT Specialist (CUSTSPT)(Branch Manager), you will exercise delegated authority to oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of the End User Services Branch(EUSB) .
