Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform the full range of Fuel Distribution System Worker tasks including operating an Automated Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE); communicating orders to other workers; operating fuel distribution systems (FDS) by use of remote switches and valves, portable and stationary pumps, and accessory equipment to load, off-load, and transfer fuel and petroleum products between ships, barges, trucks, delivery equipment, and storage tanks; aligning pipelines, valves, and switches; monitoring levels and pressures during transfer; taking corrective actions; testing and adjusting alarms, switches, automatic cut-off valves, and automatic tanks transfer gauges; conducting fuel gauging; computing fuel quantity based on temperature formulas; determining water content in fuel; taking samples for testing; complying with laws and regulations for governing the receipt/issue of fuel; performing preventive and breakdown maintenance of FDS; operating forklifts. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
