Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-12: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-11 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience evaluating current and proposed new IT systems, networks, and software designs for risk assessment and management, audit, or security within the banking or financial services industry, and preparing reports of findings. CG-13: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing IT examinations of insured depository institutions, information systems, and data centers, providing guidance in the examination of information systems data centers and independent servicer centers, and preparing reports of IT-related audit findings. In addition to meeting the specialized experience, your application package, assessment and structured interview must also demonstrate the following IT-related competencies: Attention to Detail – Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Problem Solving – Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgement to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of performing a variety of complex technical and analytical advisory duties in support of Information Technology (IT) evaluation efforts of examinations teams.
