SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR ENGINEER

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience as a supervisory nuclear engineer with Naval nuclear experience and a broad technical knowledge and understanding of other fields of engineering. Experience in engineering, radiological control and quality aspects of Naval Nuclear Work. Experience demonstrating ability to effectively communicate with and obtain cooperation of shipyard managers at all levels in accomplishing nuclear reactor plant work in accordance with strict engineering requirements while maintaining requisite degree of objectivity and independence. Experience providing engineering direction for development, design, installation, performance, and liaison by reviewing, commenting, writing, and approving technical procedures and work authorizing documents under the cognizance of the division. Experience planning, organizing, and directing activities to ensure systems, components, and structures comply with legal and regulatory requirements. You will serve as a SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR ENGINEER in the QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICE in the NUCLEAR INSPECTION DIVISION of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
