QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualifications System for Trades and Labor Occupations (X-118C, Qualification Standard Handbook) will be used in determining applicants’ qualifications. There is no specific length of training or experience required; however, you must be able to demonstrate through the experience shown in your written resume and your responses to the Occupational Questionnaire that you possess the competencies to perform the duties of this position without more than normal supervision. Specialized Experience WG-10: Work that included independent operation of a variety of heavy construction and maintenance of equipment, grader, tractor, both wheeled and tracked, front end loaders, forklift trucks; combination trailers up to 50 ton capacity, equipment that will be used in road construction and/or maintenance and repair. Care of equipment used and routine maintenance of repairs and service of equipment. Operate equipment in various types of terrain, must be able to install and remove all manufacturers attachments with tools recommended. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act of 1934 (title 25, USC Section 472). Additional selections may be made from this announcement if identical vacancies occur in the same location within 90 days from the closing date.
