Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions for the Equipment Specialist Series. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. “All eligibility and qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement however, this vacancy announcement may be used to fill other like vacancies within 120 days of the closing of this announcement and your eligibility requirements (e.g. time in grade) will be reevaluated.” SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must be a subject matter expert with knowledge of the applicable electronic principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support. Knowledge of required safety regulations, practices, and procedures. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of a wide range of the principles and practical methods, techniques, and tools of maintenance related to the US Air Force Technical Order System.??????? Knowledge of Air Force technical data management, policies and procedures to achieve the goals and objectives of the US Air Force Technical Order System. Skill in providing technical advice in terms of oral and written briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and maintenance technicians; and developing interpersonal relationships, maintaining good working relationships, and working cooperatively as a member of a team.??????? Ability to develop and conduct training to a variety of students with a range of differences such as diverse ages, backgrounds, and levels of interest to ensure proper understanding of technical data management. ????Ability to plan, organize, and reprioritize work to meet changing deadlines.??????? Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
