In addition to the basic education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as experience leading and implementing innovative eDiscovery Information Technology (IT) projects; providing technical advice to managers and staff on eDiscovery IT systems, solutions, policies, and technologies; and designing and developing policies, procedures, and guidance to support the effective use of services and solutions. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of the development, implementation, and operation of eDiscovery solutions and tools Ability to lead and manage the deployment of eDiscovery IT projects Skill in problem solving Ability to collaborate with case teams and litigation support professionals Skill in oral communication Skill in written communication Knowledge in planning and implementing an eDiscovery program Ability to design program goals, priorities, polices, and guidance Knowledge of eDiscovery technologies, including cloud-based technologies Ability to lead and implement transformation and improvement efforts Ability to communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences Skill in consulting Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
