The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Degree in any area is acceptable. FULL PERFORMANCE Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree and no experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of experience; or an Associate’s degree plus 5 years of experience; or at least 18 semester hours of military coursework/training plus 5 years of experience may be considered. Military coursework/training must be in hardware or software lifecycle maintenance or computer/network security. Relevant experience must include Linux and scripting (for example, Python, Bourneshell, PERL). In addition, it may also include maintaining hardware or software over their lifecycle (i.e., requirements analysis, implementation, testing, integration, deployment/installation, and maintenance), or computer/network security, or high performance computing. SENIOR Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 10 year of experience; or an Associate’s degree plus 8 years of experience; or at least 18 semester hours of military coursework/training plus 8 years of experience may be considered. Military coursework/training must be in hardware or software lifecycle maintenance or computer/network security. Relevant experience must be in high performance computing, including tuning Linux, and automation through scripting (for example, Python, Bourneshell, PERL). In addition, it may also include maintaining hardware or software over their lifecycle (i.e., requirements analysis, implementation, testing, integration, deployment/installation, and maintenance), monitoring enhancements, or mitigating computer security vulnerabilities. EXPERT Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree plus 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 5 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 13 years of experience; or an Associate’s degree plus 11 years of experience; or at least 18 semester hours of military coursework/training plus 11 years of experience may be considered. Military coursework/training must be in hardware or software lifecycle maintenance or computer/network security. Degree in any area is acceptable.
