Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) level in the Federal service which includes 1) Responding to audit sample requests in order to provide support to the Risk Management Internal Control Program; 2)Tracking government travel charge card accounts for delinquency or misuse; 3)Modifying travel profiles on travel systems like Defense Travel System; AND 4) Reviewing travel orders to ensure travel expenses and billing methods are in compliance with travel regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Concepts, Policies and Principles of Finance Financial Management Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (NH-02/GS-11).
About the Position: This is a Financial Management Specialist position with the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command in Redstone Arsenal, AL. Incumbent will serve in the G-8, Audit Readiness, Systems, and Policy Division.
