Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: the ability to perform the duties of a WG-06 Woodworker as demonstrated by experience working under close supervision constructing and/or repairing standardized shipping and storage items such as boxes, small crates, pallets, and storage bins using wood and wood substitutes; cutting boards and sheets of wood to specified lengths; Cutting, fitting, joining, and/or installing wooden parts and items; fastening by banding, bolting, and/or screwing; using hand tools, and handheld and/or stationary power tools common to woodworking; using shop math to measure and calculate length, width, and thickness in fractions of inches; using squares to align corners and joints.
